How does a range hood work?
If you have never purchased or used a range hood, you might wonder what is a range hood and how does it work? Well, today I am going to briefly explain what does a range hood do and introduce you the two major types of range hood.
First of all, what does a range hood do? The most important function of it is to create air flow to remove cooking smell, cooking steam, cooking smoke, and cooking heat in your kitchen! A range hood can also separate and capture cooking grease so your cabinet and appliances do not get too messy. And of course, with built-in lights you can enjoy a brighter cooking area.
So how many types are there in the market? Well if you want to filter by ventilation, range hoods can be separated by ducted range hood and ductless range hood. A ducted range hood exhausts cooking smell and vents them outside. A ductless range hood, however, does not vent the cooking smell out. Instead, it contains a charcoal filter which cleans the air and recirculates the air back to the kitchen.
